not to hijack my own conversation, but if you like sports, you need to be listening to john salley and kevin hench’s new podcast: http://adamcarolla.com/SHBlog/
awesome discussions with a lot of topics that ESPN can’t/won’t touch…

i have a mixed record (was always anti-charles rogers/mike williams/roy williams but also anti-matt ryan and dwight howard) but for the record i think mccoy from oklahoma is a can’t miss. sign him up!

I think we’re going to end up with Gerald McCoy. I’d rather have Suh. I think McCoy is going to be a very solid pro, not sure if he’ll be a dominant player. It’s impossible to trade in the NFL draft but as we’ve all said for years it’d be nice to get a couple extra picks. Because I think after Suh the draft has a lot of similar projected players and we have needs everywhere. I like that D End from Georgia Tech, but he’s probably not worthy of the 2nd pick. I like Eric Berry a lot too, but we just drafted Delmas. Our secondary was still brutal though and that would be a bad ass safety tandem to watch.

mccoy is that other DT right? id rather trade down and geet twice the picks.

it’s been impossible to trade ever since dikta gave away his whole draft for ricky williams. they have to figure out a nfl rookie salary structure like the nba, it’s harmful to bad teams to have to pay an unseasoned rook all-pro money. gladwell talks about that study where second round picks are more helpful to team success than first rounders (i’m paraphrasing bigtime.)

USC gets a verbal commit from a 13 year old…

This is just bizarre. The kid is in 7th grade and has verbally committed to USC. So much can happen in that time frame, but he has a scholorship offer for 2015.
