My hockey preview post

–Still incredibly nervous about the Tigers. But once we’re in the playoffs, there will be absolutely no pressure.

–Why did Nike give Vick a new endorsement deal? What do they get out of having him? Street cred? From who?

–Do non-Christians attend Holy Cross?

–I can’t believe the NHL is already starting. I’m going to go out on a limb and assume the Wings will make the playoffs.

i started thinking about this yesterday when a guy asked me if boston college was an episcopal school. there’s nothing about the name “boston college” that signifies its religious background.

“notre dame” is a french reference to mary, but you still might not necessarily know that notre dame is a catholic school if you’re not familiar with the religion.

but if your school is called “holy cross,” there’s not a lot of getting around it.

i’ve decided that having a team like the lions is ultimately better for one’s overall health. worrying about making the playoffs/winning a title once you get there for years on end takes too much of a toll on a person. my brother had a full head of hair before the tigers world series, the pistons choking, etc. etc…

this video sums up the concept pretty well
