Only built 4 cyber linx

Some links of interest. Or maybe not. Either way.

—Which “Detroit” products are really Detroit.

—Robin Williams in a Bobcat Goldthwait picture.

—Fedor won’t be in the UFC anytime soon.

—A-list stars are struggling at the box office this summer. The only movie I was even remotely seeing in the theaters out of these was “Funny People.”

What a stupid fucking kicker at the end of that movies article.

Twitter and Blackberries and Facebook are not the reason why Hollywood movies are failing.

They put out shit on a regular basis and no one has the money to watch it anymore when a Netflix subscription or onDemand or Cable TV or HD or doing any of a million other things are cheaper and at least equally entertaining…

    Not to mention piracy.

go the “the hurt locker” best movie ive seen this year.

and it has no a listers. screw those a’s.

I don’t think piracy is hurting movies at the theater, except when it lets people know the movie is a stinkbomb before they have to blow 25 bucks on taking their date to find out.

The point of that article easily could have been: “Terrible movies not doing good business at the box office” this summer. Or: “Americans not quite lame enough to pay megabucks to see crap only because they’ve seen the star in other things.”

Aside from “Public Enemies” and “Funny People,” which got mixed reviews, did any of those other movies have any positive buzz whatsoever?
