i definitely think my dad had cable internet first…i remember getting digital cable back in freshmen year. what a whole new world (of fake songs, you napster bastards) that opened up.
Yea dan had hugely critical advantage of having a separate phone line for his computer so he could just set that shit to download and walk away without worrying about tying up the line
the problem is he got caught smoking weed and thats worse than crashing your car drunk/beating your wife/ beating your girlfriend/shooting someone/shooting yourself and way way way way way worse than getting caught using steriods.
It’s not that he got caught smoking weed. it’s that he quit on his team and his contractual obligation to the team right as the season was about the start. a team that was wholly built around him and a team that was terrible because of his quitting. His peers in the NFL resented that move, not that he was smoking dope.
If peers in the NFL resented smoking weed they would all be listening to the Smiths all day and living in a universe of eleventh grade self-loathing the likes of which none of us have ever seen before.
