One up, two down, 159 to go

Optimistic text messages:

York, yesterday, 6:21 p.m.:

detroit tigers? more like detroit frozen homeless men.

Kenny, yesterday, 6:23 p.m.:

its going to be a long season.

Kenny, yesterday, 6:23 p.m.:

its going to be a long season.

A point that needed to be made twice?

I’m glad Kenny and I are having the same thoughts at the exact same time more or less. Secret twin brothers sperated at birth? Perhaps….

  2. Kenny Says:

My phone has been behaving oddly. I tried to send you that text message on Tuesday night right after Brandon Lyon blew the game for us. For some reason it wouldn’t send from my living room so I hit resend. My phone said it successfully sent you the message for a first time at 9:20 Tuesday, and then sent it again Wednesday for some reason.

But yes, my reaction to Brandon Lyon was that it is going to be a long season, and it did deserve to be sent twice since he screwed up both the 8th and 9th innings.

Ryan Perry and Fernando Rodney looked solid last night, and I’m excited to see Porcello today.

Oh ok, that makes sense. I thought it was totally bizarre that I was getting these tigers texts an hour before the game was even on. Let us lose first!

  4. zachary Says:

we wont last night. whats the deal. didnt see who closed though, i assume it wasnt lyon.

  5. Kenny Says:

Porcello looked OK today. Pitched really well the first 3 innings. Gave up a run in the 4th, and another in the 5th. Gave up a solo homer to open the 6th and then an infield single and Leyland replaced him with Robertson. Who gave up another run, and then was relieved by Rincon who gave up a two-run dinger.

Now we’re down 6-2. I don’t know what to say.

  6. zachary Says:

    wheres rodney? did he die?

  7. Kenny Says:

He pitched last night and looked pretty good.
