And she met Gavin

Zach is known for his totally random text messages. One of which led to the following exchange:

Zach: Don’t speak. I know what youre saying. So please stop explaining.
Me: That album is now underrated
Zach: I bought it. Its kinda classic now or will be in future. Weird

It is weird. Why does one female-fronted ska band become huge and all the others fall by the wayside? Some mix of talent and luck and zeitgeist and attractive midriff and the greatest breakup song of the 90s (what’s better?)

The album’s great singles (in the order in which they appear):

HUGE.

the idea that no doubt once had more of a skapunk (that is fun to say) than new wavy sound is enticing

but you are right, a lot of ska bands had attractive female vocalists in the 90’s. save ferris comes to mind at the moment. but very few ska bands actually made it to the mainstream the bosstones, RBF, goldfinger (maybe) and a few of those more swing than ska bands. who did “in the afterlife?” i can never remember.
