Just when I thought my bill couldn’t increase

According to my most recent Comcast death sentence bill, I can now combine the power of Tivo with my beloved DVR. Is it worth the additional $2.95? People always talk about the might and beauty of the Tivo.

whats the difference between tivo and dvr? tcan you record more with tvio/change channels while recording? thats the problem ive found with dvr.

  2. Dano Says:

That new directv (i think) deal where you can go online and set up what you want to record is pretty tight.

I think Tivo not only records things that you set, but also records things it thinks you might be interested in based on what you watch.

For example, if you watch a lot of Celtics games and one night aren’t at home and don’t set it to record, it will automatically record the Celtics game.

i think the problem with tivo is that you can’t record two at the same time? and you can’t watch one while you record another? i believe that’s right. and DVR can do those things. supposedly comcast will add the recording stuff that tivo brings to the table for an extra 2.95.

yeah, that directv website thing looks unreal. i hate when i’m out somewhere and realize i’m going to miss a game or something. great idea.
